Men 2 Boyz

Well last night my bro-in-law and I played a sweet gig at the local pub – the Greyhound (2-time winner of “third cleanest pub in high street, beeston”).  It was an open-mic night, so we got up there, I borrowed a guitar, my bro-in-law pulled out a carefully concealed harmonica, and we wowed the crowd with our own distinctive version of a song called “Holy Grail”.  There were at least 6 people in the crowd – IF NOT MORE.  So anyway, I probably should come up with a stage name now, so that people don’t confuse the hilarious and provocative antics of my stage persona with the insightful theological musings of my blog persona.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

  1. Are there pics?

  2. We were planning to video it with one of our phones but in all the excitement of what the local media have dubbed “history’s most perfect performance” we forgot to do it :-( So there are no photographic records that we are aware of

  3. Matt the Twat brilliant?

  4. oh yeah, thats what I meant. Thanks for picking up my error ;-)

  5. Bros-In-Law

    • That’s kinda spooky: My bro-in-law actually suggested the same thing as our band name – well his idea was:

      BROS (in-law)

But in the end we’ve decided to call ourselves “The New Folksmen”. We still don’t have individual stage names though. I’ve been toying with “Alfred J. McFinkelstein” but I just don’t know…

  6. How about “Embarrassed Wives”?

  7. when in doubt go with a single word… i like, “spork” or some other multipurpose household utensil.
    like “gerber-mulit-purpose-household-utensil”
but i’m just throwing things around here…
a friend of mine actually came up with the name roger mugs when we were at a coffee shop called muggs.

    • ahh and the rest is history… hmmm well I sometimes have a coffee at the staff club at uni.. I guess I could go for “Sir Edward Staff-Clubb”
