I have the Murphy-O'Connor book, but haven't read it through yet - it seems like a worthwhile collection of various essays he's done on 1 Corinthians. The one or two essays that I've properly looked at were helpful. There's a lot being done on 1 Corinthians at the moment, so I get the impression I'm not going to keep up with it all! Unfortunately it looks more like November. Still maybe I'll hold off on reading his other books. I think the time put into them will be well worth it. I still hope to read his Corinthians commentary at the same time as Fee's and Hays to get a good feel for all of them, their strengths and their weaknesses. I do find that reading Thiselton on the topic of hermeneutics can be slow-going, but I think that this book will be his most "introductory" so far - in that it aims to be a classroom textbook. I read a review he did of an introduction to theological hermeneutics and he mentioned it was the best available at the time which got me wondering if he knew of something coming down the pipe. I would really enjoy reading his book especially since I've been trying to learn philosophical hermeneutics this last year. I wish he was already coming out with it so I could start reading it now. I'm trying to work through all his stuff on hermeneutics. I've only gotten a chapter into his first book.
