Pervasive religion

ApolTemple1

Another attempt at recreating the Temple of Apollo - again, Christoph’s work… and this imposing building overlooked the marketplace.  Clearly, “religion” had a far more pervasive presence than in many of our present-day cities (eg Nottingham!).  1 Corinthians should be read, of course, with this in mind.

  1. Have they seen Troy? :-D

  2. Is Troy worth seeing? I’ve heard that – crazily enough – Caesar’s Palace (is that the name??) Casino in Las Vegas is worth seeing, for the way in which they’ve painstakingly recreated a Roman-era building – down to the tiniest details.

  3. Yeah, it’s worth seeing. For me it was just to get close to some Greek mythology stuff (Homeric).

I heard of that thing at Caesar’s Palace. Now you’re giving me incentive to check it out. :-D
