Esteban: But it was your impeccable logic that led me to only award one prize for the whole American continent – I had to interpret all of the “North America”s as “America.”

Oh, Nick most certainly is a free-book magnet! Of course, I never complain when he wins, because sometimes I share the spoils (cf. Tilling’s book).
And my dear Matthew, I regret to inform you that Your Argument Is Invalid. The appropriate, inclusive, and culturally sensitive course of action would have been to award books to residents of North America, South America, and America-as-single-continent according to their self-identification. So, I expect my copy of your book to arrive shortly.
