I just got JPII’s Theology of the Body in the mail. He extrapolates from the insight that believers are embodied disciples of an incarnate Lord. High five, JP, high five.

I’m not exactly acknowledged directly in his work, but I had such a pervasive influence that one can hardly expect such specificity. Most authorities date my influence to the time when JP2 looked out upon St Peter’s Square at the Vatican, back in 1982, and saw a young seven year old boy with his family way at the back of the crowd…
