We have enjoyed having David L Baker as our Old Testament lecturer here at Trinity Theological College, Western Australia, but he will be moving on at the end of the year. So the following announcement has just been released:

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Following the announcement of the retirement of Dr David L. Baker, Trinity Theological College, Perth, invites expressions of interest and nominations for the position of full-time Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Old Testament (to begin January 2014, negotiable). The successful candidate will demonstrate: a lively personal Christian faith and exemplary character, an openhearted willingness to support the mission and ethos of Trinity (see http://www.ttc.wa.edu.au), excellent teaching and learning practice, academic and church/mission leadership experience, and strong preaching and pastoral gifts. Teaching qualifications for this position will include an MDiv (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, a PhD with relevant specialization, and recent peer-reviewed publications in Old Testament or biblical theology. Candidates with less experience or a nearly completed PhD are encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Principal. Duties include: teaching and supervision in Old Testament (and Hebrew) to PhD level; relevant ongoing research and publications; serving on faculty and College committees; advising students and graduates; and participation in the College community and its development, including the College’s extension program (Trinity @ Night).
